Roll, Rest, and Reclaim

RR is a versatile feature designed to reclaim city sidewalks for the functions of rest and alternative movement. This multi-use element meets a large range of needs for all users by functioning as a seating component and skate feature. Inspired by the forms of skatepark obstacles and skate wheels, RR reclaims valuable public space by extending sidewalks for recreational use. Constructed from a unique hybrid material of recycled urethane skate wheels and concrete, the feature reclaims material waste created by the skate industry to create a durable sidewalk addition. Retired wheels can be deposited into the feature to be repurposed into the next RR fixture.
